High-efficiency, halogen-free functional masterbatches optimized for melt spinning, PP fibers, and technical nonwoven applications.
Jiangsu Trumps Chemical Fiber Technology Co., Ltd. is a modern enterprise integrating high-performance chemical fiber materials, nonwoven fabric manufacturing and functional application solutions. Our business scope covers R&D, production and sales of color masterbatches & functional masterbatches, nano materials, nonwoven fabrics and environmental protection adsorption products, serving multiple fields such as chemical fiber, nonwoven fabrics, medical and hygiene, and environmental emergency.
By leveraging state-of-the-art manufacturing lines and maintaining rigorous testing processes, we ensure that our flame retardant masterbatches integrate seamlessly into advanced polymer processing lines without compromising mechanical integrity or spinning efficiency.
With over two decades of continuous R&D, TRUMPS has pioneered advanced formulation techniques that optimize the dispersion of flame retardants in high-flow and thin-wall applications, enabling processors to meet stringent regulatory codes globally.
In the modern manufacturing landscape, advanced polymer processing demands additives that do more than just meet safety regulations. The global market for flame retardant additives is undergoing a significant transformation, driven by strict environmental mandates (such as EU's REACH and RoHS directives) and the rapid growth of high-performance sectors like electric vehicles (EVs), next-generation electronics, and technical textiles.
Historically, halogenated flame retardants dominated the market due to their cost-effectiveness and high efficiency. However, toxicity concerns during combustion have forced a major industrial shift toward halogen-free flame retardant (HFFR) solutions. Today, advanced polymer processing requires HFFR masterbatches that maintain the polymer's original mechanical properties, melt flow index, and surface finish while providing exceptional thermal stability and self-extinguishing properties.
This commercial transition has created a high demand for specialized masterbatches that can be seamlessly blended into polyolefin matrices, engineering plastics, and micro-fibers without causing issues like spinneret clogging, screw slippage, or surface migration (blooming).
The company started the business of color masterbatch and functional material in 1999. It has more than 20 years of industry experience and is one of the early domestic enterprises engaged in the R&D and production of chemical fiber color masterbatches. Currently equipped with 36 color masterbatch production lines with an annual output of about 15,000 tons, our products include color masterbatches, functional masterbatches and pre-dispersed pigments, which are widely applied in high-speed chemical fiber spinning production lines and SMS nonwoven fabric production lines. These products feature excellent dispersibility, high coloring rate, long spinneret plate replacement cycle, and stable light and wash fastness.

Advanced polymer processing technologies, such as high-speed melt spinning, twin-screw compounding, and micro-injection molding, require highly specialized flame retardant formulations. The primary technological challenge is achieving high flame retardancy (e.g., UL 94 V-0 rating or high Limiting Oxygen Index - LOI) at low additive loading levels. High loading levels of inorganic flame retardants often lead to deteriorated mechanical properties, reduced melt flow, and processing difficulties.
To overcome these challenges, several key technological trends have emerged:
TRUMPS integrates these state-of-the-art technological innovations into our masterbatch formulations, ensuring that the flame retardant particles are uniformly dispersed at the sub-micron level. This prevents filter blockages and filament breakage during ultra-fine fiber spinning processes.
Our commitment to innovation is backed by sophisticated laboratory testing and high-precision compounding machinery, ensuring every batch meets international quality standards.

Flame retardants designed for advanced polymer processing find use in a variety of challenging, high-safety environments. Understanding these specific application scenarios helps in selecting the ideal masterbatch formulation:
1. PP Fibers & Nonwoven Fabrics (Meltblown & Spunbond):
In the production of nonwoven fabrics for filtration, automotive interiors, and protective clothing, maintaining the polymer's spinnability is crucial. Standard flame retardant additives can agglomerate, clogging spinnerets and causing fiber breakage. TRUMPS' halogen-free masterbatches are engineered with sub-micron particle dispersion, enabling continuous, high-speed spinning of fine-denier fibers while meeting strict flame retardant standards (such as FMVSS 302 and NFPA 701).
2. Automotive Engineering & E-Mobility:
With the rise of Electric Vehicles (EVs), fire safety in battery compartments and interior components has become paramount. Advanced polymers like PP, PA, and PBT modified with our flame retardant masterbatches are used for battery brackets, connectors, and interior trims, providing excellent electrical insulation, thermal stability, and self-extinguishing properties under high-voltage conditions.
3. Electrical & Electronics (E&E):
Connectors, housings, switchgears, and micro-electronics require materials that can be molded into thin-walled parts without losing flame retardant efficiency. Our masterbatches ensure excellent melt flow and mechanical strength, allowing for precise injection molding of complex electronic components that comply with UL 94 V-0 requirements.
4. Construction & Building Geotextiles:
Flame retardant nonwoven geotextiles and roofing membranes are critical for preventing flame spread in building structures. These outdoor applications require long-term UV stability and resistance to water leaching, both of which are addressed by our specialized polymer formulations.
TRUMPS operates under strict ISO quality management systems. Our flame retardant masterbatches are tested and certified to comply with RoHS, REACH, and international fire safety standards.

We actively showcase our latest innovations and connect with industry partners at international exhibitions worldwide, demonstrating our commitment to advancing polymer processing technologies.
